A RARE 19TH CENTURY QING DYNASTY MOULDED CELADON VASE
A 19th century celadon vase from Jingdezhen kiln of rare globular form supported on a slightly splayed foot, moulded around the body with a band of scrolling peonies interrupted by a pair of mythical beast heads. The waisted neck encircled with a band of moulded leaves. With an everted mouth rim and applied overall with a sea-green celadon glaze suffused with a fine network of crackle. With a National Museum of the Philippines sticker on the base.
HEIGHT 8 1/3 in
Condition: In overall excellent condition, with very minor surface wear. Minor firing imperfections throughout. With glaze crackle consistent with age.
