Andreas Löschner-Gornau (b. 1956) is a German artist whose multidisciplinary practice encompasses painting, sculpture, drawing, conceptual art, and digital media. Educated at the Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig, the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design in Halle, and the Bauhaus in Dessau, he developed a distinctive visual language that synthesizes rigorous geometric structure with expressive abstraction. Following his relocation to the Philippines in 2003, where he served as Visiting Professor of Fine Arts and Design at the University of the Philippines Cebu, his practice expanded to engage themes of technology, perception, and the dialogue between natural and virtual worlds. His works, held in public and private collections in Europe and Asia, reflect a sustained exploration of the intersection between artistic tradition, scientific inquiry, and contemporary visual culture.
